Observacions

Cap a 1315, Nicholas Trevet va escriure un influent comentari a les Tragèdies a petició del cardenal Niccolò Albertini da Prato, llavors a la cúria papal d'Avinyó. La petició venia motivada pel fet que les Tragèdies s'havien redescobert a finals del segle XIII i no comptaven amb aparat interpretatiu. L'epístola del cardenal i la resposta de Trevet han estat editades per (1938), Il commento di Nicola Trevet al ..., pp. 1-4.
