Metge (físic). Esmentat a Bernat Metge, De vostra salut he desig (Medecina), de 1396, on es diu que tenia un "escuder" (ajudant) que sabia confeccionar medicaments (Olivar 1920-1922, "mestre Roger Angellatz [o Augellatz]", el té per apotecari, lectura que ha seguit la resta de la crítica; Olivar 1927; Riquer 1959; Badia & Lamuela 1975; Valsalobre 2005, cap dels quals l'identifica). Fou metge del rei Martí I l'Humà (1356 – 1410) (Comenge 1908, s. d. ni sign.). — Formes antigues del nom: «Roger Angellatz» (català). — Nota: un mestre Berenguer Angelats és esmentat entre altres metges (però sense dir que ho fos) al testament de Guillem Pujol (fl. 1378 – 1428), apotecari de Barcelona, de l'any 1428 (Vela 2007).
