Resum
El Conciliator de Pedro de Abano (1250-c. 1316) constituyó una codificación de la controversia escolástica entre filósofos y médicos que se desarrolló en el mundo latino durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIII. Este trabajo (a) compara las soluciones propuestas por el Conciliator a cuestiones con paralelos en el comentario de Petrus Hispanus al De animalibus y a las Questiones super de animalibus de Alberto Magno, (b) discute las soluciones de Pedro de Albano a las cuestiones centrales de la controversia y (c) considera su enfoque al problema de la relación entre la medicina y la filosofía.

Partnership between Joan Llunes and Joan Francesc Llunes, father and son, and Lluís Gual, the former’s son-in-law, surgeons of Caldes de Montbui, in order to practise the profession, 1579 (AHCB).
